8 kids?! Game on!
We've had quite an eventful month here... to say the least. Sometimes in life a lot of events just seem to happen all at once.

We've had to navigate grief as not only did Angela's cousin pass from cancer but we also lost a close friend from a car accident. She was only 30. We sent Angela up to be with their family for a few days.

We've also had so much opportunity to stand in the gap here in the neighborhood. Currently we are caring for 4 children who attend our neighborhood church and Youth Street program as their family is in the midst of a lot of upheaval. Managing 8 children with homework, meals and emotional needs has been challenging but we have been covered by peace in this time. We are continuing to find that many families and children are in incredibly vulnerable situations, so all of us who are committed to loving those in this neighborhood are on a learning journey as we minister and hear the Lord on how to do that well.

DTS starts in 5 days!
Students are shifting over and we currently have 7 (out of 10) of our DTS students  moved into our housing. We are very busy preparing for the DTS with painting, cleaning carpets, building furniture, meal plans, outreach preperation, etc, etc. Please be praying for Angela and I as we make sure everything is in order!

So excited....
We've had some people stay with us for the past few weeks (amazingly we had 15 people in our house at one point) and they asked what we needed. We had wanted to clean up our backyard and make it into a space we could host people and students over the next few months. With their willingness to help with manpower and with minimal cost, it has been transformed into an incredible outdoor room and we are so glad!!

YWAM Ember Ink
DTS is 5 days away! We have 10 DTS students right now and more processing. We are so thankful to the Lord for bringing us students. He is so faithful! Please be praying for visas to be released for our international students and for their fundraising efforts as they prepare to come.  Also, that all the details would fall into place as we are still making time to process what has happened within our family.

We've been doing Ember Nights (community worship) for a few months now. Please come on out if you are nearby on a Friday night! Its so good to be refreshed in the Spirit at the end of the week and going into the weekend. Come on out!

Finance Update
In this last month, we have seen God's provision and faithfulness as we've had flights and vehicle repairs. We are so thankful that He continues to look after us, especially when there are unknowns when you try to plan for the future.

With school preparations and unexpected travel needs, we do still need to see more finances come in . Please join with us in contending for the financial gap we have.
