Welcome to our new Network CCIP Team Member:
Program Assistant, Gretchen Schwab!

Hello! I am excited to be joining the CCIP team here at the CCCR&R Network. I grew up as the youngest of five kids in Glenmont, NY, a suburb of Albany. I stayed upstate for college, getting a degree in Psychology and Spanish at Skidmore College. Shortly after graduating in 2014, I moved to the Bay Area for its natural beauty and political atmosphere. It has been fun getting involved with several activist groups in the area. I feel truly blessed to join such a passionate and effective team, and I look forward to assisting you all in the important work that you do to make child care more accessible, affordable, and higher quality. Please let me know if there is anything you would like to see us develop or improve on the website, or anything regarding reporting and data collection with which  you would like assistance. You can contact me at gschwab@rrnetwork.org or at (415) 494-4665.

CCIP Contracts
Hurrah!  CCIP contracts should arrive during the second half of September, if not a little earlier.

State Match
The CCIP State Match is a wonderful opportunity to build local partnerships that improve access to support services for CCIP participants in your area!

Every local R&R is awarded a CCIP Quality Improvement contract. As of FY 15-16, you also receive a CCIP State Match award that requires a local match of $2 for every $1 from CDE/EESD. Here are the steps to securing a State Match Award:

  • Identify a local match (2:1) or in-kind partnership
  • Request a letter from a local funder that includes:
            -Funder letterhead
            -Local match amount
            -Funding period
            -The name of your CCR&R
  • Submit the letter with the signed CCIP contract to Gail Brodie, CDE/EESD
If a match is NOT secured, a letter relinquishing the state match should be submitted with the CCIP Contract; this does not impact your CCIP quality improvement contract.

Some resources to help you and your team through the process are included here:

You can also find  templates and info above at: www.rrnetwork.org/ccip_state_match
