Here we go! It’s hard to believe that summer is over and we’re on the eve of another school year. We look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces in the coming days and welcoming many new families into the 124 community.
As with every September, there’s excitement and anticipation for the year ahead. The PTA hopes to build on the momentum we’ve established the last few years and continue to support and enrich our children’s experience with programs such as Kids in the Game (Phys Ed), 1st Grade Shakespeare and 2nd Grade Swimming.
The reality is that we begin the year with the challenges of identifying a new President and filling a few remaining seats on the board before the real work can even begin. We are confident this is possible with the energy and enthusiasm of current and new families but the stakes are high and we are asking for your participation right away.
Please join us for the emergency PTA meeting on Wednesday 9/21/16 at 6:30pm in the school gym space. We will be nominating and electing a PTA President! Could it be you??
