We've moved! SAWBO is now a Spartan program.

Scientific Animations Without Borders (SAWBO) has officially moved to Michigan State University (MSU), home of the Spartans. This August, the SAWBO team moved to East Lansing (Michigan) into our new home and our new institution. We are very happy to be a part of MSU; a Global Grant University. MSU has a long standing tradition of global research, engagement and impact. We look forward to the new opportunities that this change will bring to SAWBO and all our global collaborators!
We are sad to leave the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), however, we appreciate the wonderful opportunities we had to get SAWBO started there and all the great people we worked with over the years.

We highly appreciate the intellectual property and legal teams’ efforts, both at UIUC and MSU, over the past half-year to make this move possible. They also worked with us on a transition plan that will help us complete this move without disrupting our interactions with collaborators and those that use our content. Since August and over the coming months, our website, Deployer App, and many other supporting technologies and documents have and will be transitioning to MSU’s systems and standards. However, rest assured, our animations will continue to be just as accessible throughout this transition and over the long-term.
As SAWBO is both an outreach and research program, we look forward to continuing to engage our collaborators at UIUC on research activities as the SAWBO team continues to explore this academic space. As our new research papers are published in academic journals, we will let you know about the findings described in these efforts. In the coming year, we will also have visiting academics from other universities around the world work with us on our upcoming research projects and publications.

We are excited for all of the new educational content we will be creating and releasing this academic year, and we look forward to all of the new collaboration opportunities here at Michigan State University.
