I hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits and ready for the Fall. Below you will find some updates on the Lotus roster:
I am thrilled to announce that Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion and CONTRA-TIEMPO have been awarded an NDP production grant for new works premiering respectively in May 2017 and Fall of 2018.
After their smashing success at Jacob's Pillow last June, the Seoul-based Bereishit will continue to tour its critically acclaimed 'Balance & Imbalance' and 'Bow' in 17/18. Check out the great NY Times review of their Pillow performances!
This year, I am also delighted to welcome the Los Angeles-based dance company, David Roussève/REALITY, to the Lotus roster.
Lotus will attend the following upcoming conferences: Arts Midwest (booth #215A), PAE (booth #702), Tennessee Presenters' Arts Conversation and CINARS (booth C). I hope to see some of you then.

DAVID ROUSSÈVE/REALITY:
David Roussève is currently working on a new piece, 'The Jazz Project' (working title), which explores the life of jazz pianist, Billy Strayhorn. It will premiere in 18/19.
In the meantime, the company is looking for creative residencies for 17/18 as well as commissioners. You may view a work in progress of 'The Jazz Project' here.
