Chuck was brewed in homage to the mighty Charles, using water taken straight from the iconic river as part of HubWeek's 2016 Brew the Charles competition. The competition, in which we will be entering Chuck against beers from five other breweries, serves to benefit the Charles River Conservancy, an organzation "dedicated to the stewardship, renewal, and enhancement of the urban parklands along the Charles River, for the enjoyment of all". In this spirit, we at Castle Island are donating 5% of all Chuck sales directly to the conservancy to help in the celebration of this amazing local resource.
Chuck means a lot to us, both as a beer and as a way to give back to a city and community that we love. Please join us during HubWeek on September 30th for the competition. Tickets are available at the link above.
