Veneer Tech Announces Winners

Prepare to be impressed! The Grand Prize winner of the 2016 Craftsman’s Challenge is Craig Thibodeau's Automaton Table. Inspired by David and Abraham Roentgen, this table has secret compartments and panels that reveal hidden details using only mechanics, not electricity. Timber Products Recognized

This month's edition of Panel World highlights Timber Products' investments to improve quality, production, and efficiency at plants in Grants Pass and Medford, Oregon. Featured are the company's investments in veneer drying, grading, and handling technology. A major drying-grading-stacking upgrade at Timber Products' Medford facility boosts output and efficiency. An innovative rearrangement of veneer handling, plugging, and composing areas make for a more efficient mill flow.

Woodland Face Veneer Featured

September's issue of Panel World showcases the success of Woodland Face Veneer. Co-founder Rick Philipps spent 30 years buying faces for a door manufacturer. Frequently forced to create the faces he needed in-house, Rick started his own high-quality face veneer manufacturer with his wife, Sharon. Founded in 2002 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Woodland Face Veneer now produces nearly 1 million square feet per week.
