Greetings from Buenos Aires!

Grace and peace to all of God's people scattered throughout the world. God continues, in spite of our weaknesses and failures, to do great things among us here in Argentina! Learn more about our work here in Bueno Aires!

10 Years in South America

On August 14th of this year, I celebrated 10 years of full-time mission work in South America even though I've been traveling and working in South America since 2003. God has been so good to me!

When I arrived in Caracas, Venezuela on August 14, 2006 I was only 22 years and 25 days old. I was young, adventurous, and excited about what I was going to experience.

Now I'm 32 and I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have less certainties about life and human relationships while at the same time my convictions concerning the truth and the power of Gospel have only grown. I value my knowledge and experience less while I pray to grow in love and compassion.

These past ten years have been full of adventures and experiences that will forever shape my life. Not only must I thank my family and my church family in the States, but the people of Latin America for loving me, showing me hospitality and teaching me what it means to walk daily with Jesus Christ.

And a special thanks to everyone who has partnered with me in any way throughout the last decade.

Two new brothers!

We are excited to announce that since my last report we have two new brothers in Christ! Both Gustavo and Nimer have been born again into the Kingdom of God! Gustavo has been a part of our family life for the past two years and Nimer for over one year after coming to us from a church of Christ in Arequipa, Peru. Please pray for our two new brothers in Christ that we can help them grow and mature into committed disciples of Christ!
This last July 20th, I turned 32! Salomón along with his parents Moisés and Génesis took me out to lunch for my birthday! At night, other friends took me to listen to live jazz!

Furlough 2016

I want to thank everyone who showed me hospitality during my furlough to the States. Thanks to everyone who invited me for coffee, lunch or dinner and to all of those who took the time to listen to me so that I could share with you my life and the Lord's work here in Argentina.

Cities visited during my furlough:

Denver, CO; Malibu, CA; Wichita, KS, Edmond, OK: Stroud, OK; Abilene, TX: Ft. Worth, TX; New York City, NY.

In addition to visiting my supporting churches, the Northwest Church of Christ (Westminster, CO), the Northside Church of Christ (Wichita, KS) and the Stroud Church of Christ (Stroud, OK) I was also able to take two intensive courses at ACU in order to complete my masters in missions.
Please pray for Mili, Gustavo's girlfriend! Their baby is due in November. We pray that Mili will continue to learn more about Jesus' way along with Gustavo so they can raise their baby in a Christian home!
This last month I participated in a weekend retreat with the Christian university ministry, ABUA. In two weeks I will be teaching a workshop for the group in Buenos Aires called, "Jesus, the Word in our Midst". Please pray as we help equip university students to share the Good News of Jesus Christ on the campus of their universities throughout Argentina! (ABUA is the Argentine version of InterVaristy in the US.)
Please continue to pray for the Venezuelan refugees that are living in my house. Please pray that they might find jobs, places to live and that they can take advantage of the opportunity to study in their host country.

In the past few months we have had several meetings of our Book Club. Recently, we packed 17 people into my living room for a poetry reading. We read poetry in four different languages and spent a total of almost five hours together eating, reading poetry and getting to know each other better. Those who were participating in the club for the first time learned of my faith and I was able to share about God's love for refugees through my poetry reading. Please pray that we can continue to meet people interested in Jesus' way and have meaningful conversations in this forum.

We're glad to announce that a few of us have to sit on the floor on Sundays because we are having such high attendance! Please pray that we may continue to reach out to new people, take care of those who are in our midst as well as find adequate space in the future to attend to all of those who come from near and far to have an encounter with the risen Lord!
Thank you so much for your prayers and generous support! If you would like to be a part of a closed Facebook group with more information about our work in BA, you can check out our group here:
