Fall for Asters
Aster's cheerful daisy faces and the profusion of colors and sizes that make up this genus provide lots of oomph when other perennials have petered out. Our Asters are tried and true performers in ordinary garden soil and full sun.

As shown from top to bottom: Aster cordifolius 'Chieftain', Aster laevis 'Bluebird', Aster novae-angliae 'Purple Dome', Aster tataricus 'Jindai'Aster oblongifolius 'October Skies'.

Add oomph to your garden during the fading days of summer!

Consider sprinkling some of these colorful perennials amid Asters and a splendid September show will be yours for the viewing.
It's fun to mix things up and interweave contrasting floral hues and shapes, plus leaves that serve as an intriguing counterpoint to the fine textured foliage of most Asters.
Ornamental grasses can also be showcased as specimens or en masse with your favorite Aster medley.

Garden Design’s Autumn Issue Now Shipping - Get Yours!

If you haven’t seen Garden Design magazine yet, this is a great issue to start off with. We're completely smitten by the magazine and couldn't agree more with what a recent subscriber said:

I saw a copy of Garden Design magazine late last year and was absolutely impressed with the in depth articles and the beautiful photography. This past spring I became a subscriber and love every single page. It is beautifully presented and I love that there are no ads. I don't subscribe to too many magazines, but Garden Design is worth every single penny. I highly recommend it.

Click here to subscribe before October 15th, 2016 and get this issue free!

Now in its 3rd year being published as a “bookazine,” Garden Design captures today’s most innovative garden ideas in a format that allows for more pages devoted to in-depth stories and more full-page photography. It’s like a book because there are no ads; like a magazine because it comes out multiple times per year (January, April, June, and September).

Friends of Digging Dog get their first issue free when they subscribe! Click here or call Garden Design at (855) 624-5110 Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm PST.
