Registration is now open for our info-packed annual Hidden Gems High School Fair on Sunday, September 25 from 1-4 pm.

Does Your Child Need to Take a Test?
Register now for NWEA MAP for CPS & ISEE for privates
Families interested in selective CPS programs for 5th-9th grade next fall may be required to take qualifying NWEA MAP tests administered by CPS. If your private school or other non-CPS student is interested in these accelerated CPS programs for 5th-9th grade next year, now is the time to take those tests! Read more from CPSOAE.
Register by September 9 to take the NWEA MAP reading and math tests from CPS on October 8, 9, 22 and/or 23. Register between Sept. 10-Dec. 9 and you will be assigned a January test date. These standardized tests determine program eligibility and are used for middle and high school Selective Enrollment admissions.
Families interested in private schools may be required to take the ISEE exam for grades 2-12. Private independent schools use a variety of metrics to select students, but oftentimes a standardized test such as the ISEE will be one required element. NEW THIS YEAR: the opportunity to take the test more than once prior to applying. Read about it HERE.

Private School Applications are Open
Don't miss the deadlines and opportunities to visit
Most private schools have opened up their applications for the 2017-2018 school year. Deadlines can be fast approaching so check out their timelines and required steps now.
Private schools typically have application fees but some like Francis Parker have no fee to apply. Almost all require tours, coffees or visits but some like U of C Lab's lower school only offers visits to applicants. Check their website or our CSG Calendar for dates.
