PTSA Mission Statement

The mission of the Spiritridge Elementary PTSA is to support and strengthen the Spiritridge commUNITY and provide enrichment opportunities for our students. We facilitate information exchange between and among our parents, teachers, and students. We promote parental involvement and a strong partnership with the school, which is essential to the success of our students.

Back to School BBQ

Please join us for the annual PTSA-sponsored Back-to-School BBQ on Friday, September 9th from 5:30 to 7:30. This event is a great time to meet teachers and staff and catch up with friends old and new! The PTSA will provide burgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs.

Families are invited to bring a dish to share. If your last name begins with the letters:

  • A - S bring a salad or side dish
  • T - Z bring a dessert
Volunteers are needed to help with setup, cleanup, grilling, and more.  Please signup here.

Welcome Kindergartners!

**Kindergarten First Day Coffee and Gathering for Parents**

A warm welcome to incoming kindergarten families!  After you drop off your kindergartner on Tuesday, please take a few minutes to stop by the flag pole area. The PTSA is hosting their traditional coffee and snacks as a welcome to school for parents.  Hope to see you there!

Our School Library Needs Your Help:

Our school librarians are looking for detail oriented volunteers to assist on a WEEKLY basis in the library for each classrooms' library time. Responsibilities include:
  • Checking in and out books
  • Shelving Books
  • Other projects

Please consider signing up here to help in your child's class library time! http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a4da5ac23a7fb6-library

If you have any questions please email Zohrah at volunteers@spiritridge.org.

Lunch Prices Have Increased This Year:

Lunch is now $3.25, that's 25 cents more than last year.  So, if your child is purchasing lunch it will be $16.25 per week.  Please plan accordingly.  Also consider using paypams.com.  It is an easy and convenient way to pay for lunches and a way for you to keep track of spending.  You can also have payments automatically made to their account.

Drop Off and Pick Up Courtesies:

Now that school's back in, PLEASE drive the 20 mph that is posted for a school zone and put that cell phone away!  We have lots of walkers and crossing the street is dangerous especially if you're exceeding the speed limit and/or are distracted.

Please note there is no turning left out of the parking lot during our peak drop off time period, 8:45 to 9:00 a.m.  This will hopefully prevent any traffic back-ups and allow everyone to get where they need to be safely and quickly.

New PTSA website:

The Spiritridge PTSA has a new website! If you've bookmarked http://www.spiritridge.org then you won't need to do anything differently to find the new site, as that link will automatically take you to the new page.

Please bear with us as we migrate all of our information over to the new site from our old one. If you notice things missing that you liked on the old page, then please feel free to contact the webmaster at webmaster@spiritridge.org

The PTA is a completely volunteer-run organization, so changes as large as this do take time. We appreciate your patience as we work out any kinks with our new site. Thank you!

 Nowland Premier Soccer Academy:

NPSA is excited to bring back our After School Soccer Program to Spritridge Elementary this Fall! Starting September 19th we will bring in a professional coaching staff to run an intro to soccer program that will engage all skill levels in a fun curriculum. There are a limited number of spots so register today using this link!: http://www.nowlandpremiersocceracademy.com/2016-fall-spiritridge-school-program/

Box Tops for Education:

Earn money for Spiritridge Elementary by collecting Box Tops and soup labels!

Clip the pink Box Tops for Education label from participating General Mills products (Pillsbury, Nature Valley, Betty Crocker, Kleenex, Ziploc, Huggies, and many others). Each box top is worth 10 cents that goes directly to Spiritridge. Click here for a complete list of participating products.

Labels for Education awards free educational equipment to schools in exchange for proof of purchase labels or UPC codes from Campbell’s, Pepperidge Farm, and other participating products. Sadly, Labels for Education is discontinuing their program, and this is the last year we will be collecting labels.  Only UPCs with the Labels for Education logo can be redeemed for points.

Turn in Box Tops and labels throughout the year to your teacher, or place them in the collection box in the office. Watch your child’s Friday Folder for information about a classroom competition that will be held in October. The class that collects the most will win a prize!

Here are some more easy ways to earn bonus points for our school:
