It's Busy Fall at Park Church!

School is starting, the beaches are closed, pumpkin spice is everywhere - and things are ramping up at Park Church.  Fall is the start of our new 'church year' - and so there's a lot going on and (re)starting.  We have some great opportunities to get connected and grow at Park Church, awesome events coming up, and great groups re-starting.  So check out all that coming up below!

Community Groups are the best way to grow in faith and get connected at Park Church, and we want to see you involved!

Community Groups are weekly gatherings of 10-14 adults to grow in faith together by discussing the previous week's sermon, praying, and just sharing life together.  They're fun, up-building for faith, and helpful for life.  No matter where you are in your faith journey, Community Groups are designed to be a good fit for you - to bring your faith to life!  To express interest in joining a group, fill out this simple form.  If you have questions, check out the information on the web (including a list of available groups) and/or contact Matt Littlehale (Community Groups Coordinator).  Groups start meeting during the week of Sept. 18.

IT'S TIME TO [RE]TURN TO JESUS!

Now that summer is wrapping up and you're returning to school, returning to homework, and returning to normal life, we invite you to [RE]TURN to Jesus!  For the next month at Park Church, we're going to look at stories from Scripture where people turn to Christ to hear how He's calling us to (re)turn to him as well.  This is a perfect series to invite your friends, neighbors, and co-workers to.  Invite them on Facebook!  We'd love to see them - and you - on Sunday!  9:00 & 10:45 at 31 Park.

A CHURCH-WIDE PARTY - AND YOU'RE INVITED!

October feels like a festive month, so you're invited to a big party.  It's called Parktoberfest, and it's a time to celebrate together, eat some delicious grub, play some outdoor games, have a pie tasting contest, and get to know some great people at Park.

We want you to invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers - and whoever else you want.  We'd love to see them - so start sharing the Facebook event now!

Sign up to help out or bring something to share, or contact the Events Team to volunteer to help, set up, etc.  It'll start at noon on October 2nd, immediately after the 10:45 service.  More to come (like Park Church pint glasses?)!

PARK 101 MEMBERSHIP CLASS

On Sunday September 25 at 12:15, you are invited to the Park 101 Membership Class.  Learn about the vision, mission, beliefs, and structure of Park Church - and begin to see how being a member here means committing to serving in God's mission.  The class takes place in the 31 Park youth room, and runs about 2 hours.  Contact Andy Newberry with any questions, and to let him know you'll be coming (for preparation purposes).
Beginning Thursday September 15 at 9AM, MOPS is starting again at Park Church!  MOPS is a group for mothers of young children (pre-born - K) that regularly meets to grow together, support one another, and explore faith and motherhood.  Childcare is provided (but volunteers are needed!).  Contact Shannon Littlehale to learn more or volunteer to be a child-caregiver, and follow MOPS at Park on Facebook!
Every Wednesday at 6PM at 31 Park, all middle school aged kids are invited to the Park Church Middle School Group.  Invite friends along, and make a new friend while you’re there!  Dinner is served. Contact Jane Barnes with any questions.
On September 23-25, go to the Northeast Men’s Retreat in Glen Spey, NY on beautiful Lake Champion.  Park Church men have been attending this retreat for a few years now, and it is a GREAT time to grow, to get to know other men, and to ‘retreat’ for the weekend.  Register online or grab a brochure from the welcome desk on Sunday. Contact Chris Benosky for more, for carpooling info, etc.
Every Thursday at 6:30PM, all high school aged people are invited to the High School Group.  This most likely is the best time of your week, so be there!  Dinner is served.  Lives are changed. Contact Chris Stanislawski for more.
There's a lot to be done at Park Church, and we could use your help!  What better way to get connected in the community than by using your gifts to serve God?
