Prince's Trust Success
science made simple have been working with groups of students on a Prince's Trust personal development programme 'Achieve'.
Becky, Zoë and Rhys spent 2 days with each group of students, equipping them with the skills, knowledge and confidence to present and film their own science videos. A lovely video overview of the project and the students can be found here.

Each summer, the science made simple team get together for three days to share learning, company updates and new techniques or demonstrations. It's also an opportunity to celebrate staff and company achievements, and recognise all the hard work that goes into bringing science to life! Below Becca and Zoë are celebrating creating the most viewed video on our YouTube Channel.

This year, we worked on the development of new astronomy workshops (watch this space), teacher CPD, vlogging, and our aims for 2016/2017 - it's going to be a good year!

Food glorious food!
David and Dan got stuck in at Merthyr Food Festival with food science busking! They shared the science of chillies with brave passers-by as well as taste perception tests and 'magic berries'.
|
|
|
These little berries effectively confuse your taste buds, causing sour foods to taste sweet!
David is returning to Merthyr soon for the 'Ready Teddy Go' festival and will be sharing the best bits of bubbles and balloons.
