MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
From the Chair: The title may say “chair” but there’s no sitting down between now and the election - we all need to be working to register voters and inform them about the high stakes in this election - at all levels.
Join with your Democratic friends at our two Lebanon meetings in September: Wednesday Sept 7th, 7 pm at Heisey’s Diner is the COUNTY committee meeting. Wednesday, September 21st, 7 pm at HQ is our EXECUTIVE committee meeting. If you are an elected committee member, we expect to see you; if you are a Democrat but not an elected committee person you are also welcome.
Another opportunity takes place on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9-10 when the State Democratic Party meets in Harrisburg; there are Deminars that you might find useful and the Friday evening dinner is a wonderful time to get together for only $20.16 if you make a reservation in advance. Go here for full information about the 2-day meeting: http://www.padems.com/state-committee/meetings/fall-meeting-information/
Because of a resignation, I had the opportunity to appoint a new State Committee Member - Female - and have chosen Hazel Diaz. That brings our State Committee Delegation to 4: Franz Messerschmidt, Laura Quick, Hazel Diaz, and me (ex officio).
Don’t forget to support your local candidates Lorraine Scudder (101st), Jake Long (102nd), Jody Rebarchak (104th), Mike Parrish (CD 6), and Rick Daugherty (CD 15).
And volunteer either through PAVictory16 or LCDC - we’re working together and are STRONGER TOGETHER!

¡FIESTA LATINA!
Our fifth Fiesta Latina, under the leadership of Cesar F. Liriano, was the biggest success ever, reaching at least 700 attendees from all over the state, many sponsors, great media coverage and resulting in 55 new voter registrations. The First Latino Idol contest was also a big hit and everyone is looking forward to the Second contest at next year’s Fiesta. Our thanks to all our volunteers and those who worked so hard to make it such a notable event for Lebanon City and County. Most representatives do not expect people to be paying attention. That’s why the more people call and express their opinions, the more likely we will be listened to. Even if you know they will never vote your way on an issue, they do keep records of how many constituents disagree with them and it might help if they hear push back from their colleagues.

i. Political Statistics of interest
John Harvey has found an interesting website that has all types of statistical and demographic information related to politics. For example, here is a graph comparing the change in family income for each president since Kennedy.

j. True Blue News
The PA Democratic Committee puts out a regular bulletin with news about Democrats state-wide. There is news about the Governor, legislature, county and general news. Not sure how to subscribe to it, but it looked pretty good. You can try writing to pressoffice@padems.com if you’re interested.

Please get in touch with the Campaign Committee at Campaign@lebanondemocrats.com, text or call 717-873-7680 and we can steer you to the resources you will need. Also, plan to attend the LCDC Seminars we are scheduling for 2016.
M. Anna Cunha Century Club
We need your support as a donor and member of the Anna Cunha Century Club. Contributions of $50, $75 or $100 or more are welcome to sustain our party in Lebanon County, but a contribution of $100 or more can make a larger impact as we prepare for the 2016 national and state campaigns.
Century Club donations can be made by check or online through Act Blue. We are only halfway to our budgeted goal and need to pay our bills and prepare for the fall campaign. Dig deep to win in November.
