Watercolor with Color Burst!
There are 3 different techniques using Ken Oliver's Color Burst on this card!  Camden Club members had the pleasure of making it last Wednesday.

As I was demoing the techniques, I chose to use  Lime Green just 'cuz I hadn't used it before.  As it turned out I really liked the color and was able to create a late summer feel to this card.
The 3 Color Burst techniques were as follows:
1.  Dying seam binding using a plastic lunch bag and spritzer.
2.  Creating a hand torn card stock flower and coloring it using a spritz & sprinkle technique.   Oh and smashing the flower was an unexpected bonus!
3.  Creating a background panel with watercolor paper using a sprinkle and spritz technique.

One day I will create a tutorial on this card for reference purposes.  This card is really super versatile for any season!

September A Muse Consultant Swap!

As an A Muse Consultant, I get to swap with my colleagues and here's my September swap card.  It actually includes stamps that are in the October Monthly Collection that will be available on October 1st.  if you were a consultant, you'd have this in your hands already!!!  LOL
I think my favorite part was coloring the leaves with Wink of Stella in orange, yellow and clear to help pop the leaves.  Not sure it shows in the photo, but this card is really pretty.

THIS WEEK'S WATERCOLOR PROJECT

My Hub is away at a vintage race at Watkins Glen that I'll be attending as of Friday.  Meanwhile, I'm home alone on Thursday and am cranking out some creative stuff.

Apparently I'm not alone as Janice Alvord painted the same painting last Thursday of Joanne Boon Thomas's tutorial.  Here's Janice's wonderful painting:
I love Janice's loose watercolor and told her she absolutely has to get it framed!  I love her splatters!

I, too, worked on the same tutorial and here's my finished piece, although I want to add black splatters!!!  I used orange colors rather than the pinks/reds for more of an autumn feel.  At this stage, framing will complete the piece.
