HRTC Friday Drinks - September 2016

HRTC's first Friday of the month Club drinks was held last Friday and many thanks go to those that came on down and shared it with us. Michelle Moores provided her world famous nacho dip and the evening was a good spirited one. As promised, our lucky door prize was held and those of the members that could put their business card into the draw did so - with Sandra Gadsby taking out September honours - taking home a nice bottle of sparkling wine for her troubles!

Next month's Friday night drinks will be OktoberFest themed - so stay tuned for more details on what should be a fun night for all.

HRTC Handicap Singles 2016 Saturday September 3rd

Saturday September 3rd saw two round robin groups take to the court for a rather spontaneous round robin handicap singles event. Matthew Gadsby, Lee McLean, Shamen Fox-Henry, Nathan Gadsby and Lindsay Kent-Fahey all took to the court in a Saturday morning group that saw Nathan Gadsby finally get a group win after a games count back to Lindsay Kent-Fahey. Well done Nathan (enjoy your Cargo gift voucher) and to the rest of the crew that had a go.

Saturday afternoon had Zac Davis, Tom McAuley and Iain Burrows going head to head in the arvo session. Once again, the tennis was close and competitive - with Zac Davis taking home the Cargo gift voucher after a hard fought win.

Antarctic Festival Tournament 2016  | Sunday September 11th.

In another first for HRTC, we will be running our inaugural Antarctic Festival Tournament this Sunday!! Held in two handicap singles round robin groups with a group winner play-off at 5pm on Sunday - this is another "tournament with a difference". In addition to the usual handicapping system - players will be given "colder" or "warmer" temperatures depending on whether they play good or poor shots - with extra rewards and penalties to apply! It should be one of our more interesting events of the year - from the same author as our Dark Mofo event...it is sure to be a hit for all those involved!

All HRTC members are encouraged to have a go and may select from one of the two different groups offered throughout the day. Call Brett or Pat at the Club or use the links provided below to join in the action:
