September @ North Shore Distillery

It still feels like summer here, but we're starting to get hints of the season changing. For now, we're making the most of late summer, using some great local produce in our drinks and spending time outside. We're working on fall drinks too, and are excited to have brown spirits available by the drink again - we have both our bourbon-style whiskey and aged rum on the cocktail menu now! In addition, we're filling up our fall calendar with great events, such as: 

• Hands on Cocktail Making Class Sunday, Sept 11 @ 4 pm - be here for the next edition of our popular hands-on cocktail making class for beginners! We'll teach you how to use drink-making tools, and you'll get to enjoy the fruits of your labor, too. $40 per person, includes class, cocktail samples & snacks. Details and tickets here.
   
• Fall Cocktail Menu Preview Sunday, Sept 18 - want to have some input on our next cocktail menu? Join us anytime that Sunday, try out some of the contenders for our next menu, and put in your vote! Try five cocktails for $25 (half-sized), and vote for your favorites - the top two vote getters will be on the next menu. Tix here.
   
• North Shore Octoberfest Thursday, Sept 29 - Sunday, Oct 2 - in the great tradition of fall festivals in Germany, we're throwing one of our own! We won't have beer, but we'll have some great fall cocktails on special and other surprises. Wear your lederhosen (or don't) and stop by to see what we've come up with for fall!
   
• Coming Soon -  We are working on some additional events for October, including a book signing & cocktail tasting, painting with cocktails, and live music. Stay tuned to our website & social media for the latest!
   
• Please Note: we will be closed for a private event on Saturday, September 10 from 4 - 6 pm, and will not have our 5 pm public tour that day. Please join us before or after for cocktails & good times!

• 1960's Cocktails with the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society on Friday, September 16 in Lake Forest. We'll celebrate the 1960's and talk about the cocktails of the time at a historic home - our own Sonja Kassebaum will be speaking.
   
• Savor Libertyville at the Adler Center on Saturday, October 1 in Libertyville. We'll join chefs from area restaurants at this first-ever celebration of great food & drink in Libertyville!
   
• North Shore Night at Tavern Lounge in Libertyville Thursday October 6, 6 to 8 pm - it's time for our monthly cocktail party with our friends at Tavern! We'll have some seasonal cocktails on special, spirit samples, and good times.
