Induction Ceremony

You are all invited to attend our fall IP Induction Ceremony to welcome in the new class of IP students. Former GT President Dr. Wayne Clough will be our keynote speaker and we will also hear from a soon-to-be graduating IP student and an IP alum.

Capstone Workshop
All IP students currently enrolled in your senior design/capstone course should attend the IP Capstone Workshop. This workshop is designed to set you up for success with your capstone projects as well as prepare you for your final semester or year in the IP. It's also a great way to meet other graduating IP students and prepare to discuss the IP in upcoming job or graduate school interviews. Dinner will be served! **We will hold another workshop in the spring for students taking their senior design course in the spring or summer**

Study Abroad

Study Abroad Scholarship Deadline

There are many OIE Administered Scholarships available through the Office of International Education and nationally. It is in your best interest to apply for one, especially if you are studying abroad in Spring 2017 or Summer 2017. Deadline to apply is October 15th, 2016. **If you will be completing your second IP experience, you must apply for OIE scholarships in order to be considered for the IP Scholarship!

Study Abroad 101
 
With over 120 different programs, Georgia Tech Study Abroad opportunities span every continent and academic discipline. However, we know that there is a lot to consider when planning to study abroad and these Study Abroad 101 sessions are intended to give students general information about study abroad to help them get started.

How to Afford Study Abroad

Please join the Office of International Education for an information session that will discuss how to afford studying abroad. The session will cover things student should know when looking at study abroad, scholarships opportunities (both local and national), how to craft a competitive application, and non-traditional ways of raising money for an experience abroad.

Bobby Jones Fellowship Information Session

The Bobby Jones Fellowship is a prestigious post-graduate opportunity which provides funding for one Georgia Tech student to pursue a one-year Master's degree in Photonics and Optoelectronic Devices at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Recipients will each receive $35,000 to help cover tuition, fees, and living expenses while enrolled at St. Andrews.

Students who will be graduating in December 2016 or May/August 2017 are encouraged to apply by the Tuesday, November 1, 2016 deadline.

English Teaching Internship in Peru - Info Session

Georgia Tech Pre-Teaching students, along with interested Ivan Allen majors, have the opportunity to participate in 6-12 month global internships in Arequipa, Peru. Interns will work as Conversation Leaders or Instructors teaching the English language, as well as American cultural norms, to Peruvian high school, college, and adult students.  All interns must register with Georgia Tech's Global Internship Program.
