Announcements

Pancake Breakfast this Sunday, Sept. 11 @ 9 a.m. We will be kicking off the beginning of the new church school year with a pancake breakfast provided by the youth. Cost is $5 per person, or $10 for a family. Breakfast will be served from 9 - 9:50 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Hope to see you there!

Church School Preview Day After worship please join Sabina and Doug in Schmidt Hall to learn what's in store this year in Church School. Come with your questions and ideas for upcoming curricula and activities. Children will join Sabina upstairs for the second half of the hour, while Doug covers the Spring and Lent seasons of Adult Education ideas and Sunday Parkways information.

Faith Thru Art Sept. 18, after worship. Breath prayers and colored gel pens will lead us in our explorations of faith and prayer. We will doodle our way into a calm contemplative space, and use this space as a backdrop for faith exploration. No creative skills are necessary. Come learn how you can use art to deepen your faith.

Sunday Parkways Volunteers needed On Oct. 2, MPC will be celebrating community outreach while directing traffic at a Parkways intersection.  We have several ideas we are working on and would like to put together a team to finalize plans.  If you would like to be on the team please let Kelley Gutman know at 503.944.9811 or kelleygutman@yahoo.com.

Getting to church for Sunday Parkways On Oct. 2, some downtown Milwaukie streets will be closed or have reduced access for Sunday Parkways. Is your regular route along the way? Consider coming by an alternate route and giving yourself plenty of time to get here. Parkways maps are available here.

Broship Sept. 17 If you want more information about Beer and Hymns for Broship including meeting location and what to expect, please connect with Doug after worship or call at 727.543.6817.

Breakfast for All Campaign Backpack Buddies provides weekend food for school children in homes with food insecurity. During Sep. and Oct. we are accepting 15 - 18 oz. plastic jars of peanut butter, 9 - 20 oz. cereal, instant oatmeal packets, and 1 oz. raisin boxes for Oak Grove Elementary.  Please see the Donation Corner in the narthex for information and a shopping list.
