Health Canada - Food Expert Advisory Committee
Pointe-Claire Qc., September 8 2016 - VLM Foods is pleased to share with its business partners and associates that Mark FeDuke, VLM’s Director of Operations and Regulatory Affairs, has been appointed by Health Canada to serve on the agency's Food Expert Advisory Committee.
Speaking at a luncheon held at the company's offices in Pointe-Claire, VLM President Jeff Preston congratulated Mark on his appointment noting the important role that the committee plays in providing advice to Health Canada’s Food Directorate with respect to strategic planning, priority-setting and environmental scanning of issues related to food safety, nutritional quality, and related food system issues.

IQF CAULIFLOWER RICE
Swapping out the rice and potatoes in regular meals with chopped-up cauliflower has gained significant traction with those looking for low-carb options. Cauliflower is a great substitute as it's white like rice and can mimic it’s taste too. However, it is time consuming to chop and dice regular cauliflower florets. This IQF cauliflower rice offers the same great benefits and taste as fresh cauliflower rice without all of the dreaded prep and cleanup. It has a "rice-like" texture and a nice neutral flavor.

Description: Cauliflower rice is produced from fresh cauliflower. It is washed, cut to size, and then sorted. It's individually quick frozen to ensure maximum flavor and then packed.
