The San Leandro Education Foundation is proud to partner with nationally recognized Latinas in STEM to present an all-day event for Bancroft and John Muir students and their parents. This event is for boys and girls of any ethnicity. To attend, a student MUST be accompanied by at least one parent. While the students are doing a bristle-bot challenge and talking to STEM professionals and college students, parents will be attending a series of workshops in English AND Spanish covering:
- What is STEM and what career opportunities are there for my child?
- How to support your child's interest in STEM outside of school.
- Financial resources that are available for my child.
STEM101 is just $5 for students and FREE for parents. Registration is online and the parent facilitators at each middle school are available to help. Don't miss out on this great opportunity! Visit www.sledfund.org for more information.
