TAKE the BULL BY the HORNS...

Darker mornings and crisper evenings signal September is here - back to school, back to work, back to a schedule. It's also a great time to leverage the creative fuels of summer and engage in new activities and ideas.  "Taking the bull by the horns" is to do something difficult in a brave or determined way.  It's not always easy to dedicate scarce time and energy to our own gro'wth. We hope you will "take the bull by the horns" and commit to 'get gro'ing' this fall.

We have an exciting line up of learning and connection opportunities for you in the coming months - get registered and dig into these gro'wth opportunities with us.  Our CRAFT event with Dr. Karen Dawson is just around the corner.  We had so much fun with Karen last year, we had to bring her back!  She will share techniques for delving into powerful conversations that can be universally applied in our roles as parents, partners, friends, colleagues, mentors.

Stay tuned to our newsletters, social media and website for upcoming event details:

- September 27th CRAFT event
- November 16th CREATIVE event
- December Seeding Event (Members Only)
- February ESSENCE Event

We look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.

KELLI's Awesome Granola

This is my very favorite granola recipe! It all started with a recipe passed along from my husband’s aunt. I have since made some adjustments to increase the health content. I have also added more of the ingredients that I love…why not right?!?

Feel free to sub in more of your favorite nuts, seeds and dried fruit. You can also sub out nuts and cashew butter and replace it with seed, dried fruit and sunflower seed butter to make it nut free. As long as the portions are roughly the same you should end up with some tasty granola.

Makes ~10 Cups.

Granola can  be stored in the fridge for 3-4 weeks or freeze it for a couple months.

Enjoy!

Ingredients:

Dry
3 ½ cup Gluten Free Rolled Oats
2 ½ cup Unsweetened Coconut (shredded or large flake)
½ cup Hemp Hearts
3 cup Nuts (I use ½ cup each of pecans, cashews, slivered almonds, hazelnuts and pine nuts)
1 cup Dried Cherries
¼ cup Coconut Sugar
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Sea Salt
1-2 tbsp Orange Zest (approx. one orange)

Wet

¾ cup Coconut Oil (melted)
¾ cup Maple Syrup
3 tbsp Cashew Butter
2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Vanilla Powder (or additional vanilla extract)

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 325
  2. Roast large nuts for 10 min, remove and let cool
  3. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl
  4. Melt coconut oil in a sauce pan over medium heat
  5. Remove from heat and add maple syrup and cashew butter, whisk to combine
  6. Add vanilla extract and powder to the wet mixture
  7. Pour wet mixture over the dry mixture, stir to combine
  8. Spread mixture evenly on 2-3 parchment lined baking sheets
  9. Bake at 325 degrees for ~20 minutes, tossing half way through

Our CRAFT element is where we play to 'hone our gifts and get inspired to share'.  Be sure to join us on September 27th to explore your craft.
