Bin your litter and help a Haringey charity

A trial project to clean up our streets and raise money for local charities was launched today by Keep Britain Tidy and Haringey. ‘Bin it for Good’ stickers have been placed on rubbish bins around Tottenham encouraging residents to drop litter in bins rather than on the streets. The more litter that goes into bins marked with ‘Bin it for Good’ stickers the larger the sum that will be donated to three local charities; Don’t Forget The Kids, BUBIC and Friends of Tottenham Marshes. Haringey Cabinet Member for Environment, Peray Ahmet said, “Bin it for Good will make our pavements, parks and streets cleaner and raise hundreds of pounds for local charities."
