1) Register Now for Next Week's Electoral Reform Workshop - A Preference for Equality

On Tuesday, September 20, join the PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women and the PEI Coalition for Women in Government for "A Preference for Equality: Which Electoral Reform Options Support Women's Equality and Greater Diversity?" - a workshop on gender, diversity, and the way we vote.

Five electoral models have been proposed for PEI, and Island voters will have a chance to rank their preferences in a plebiscite vote. But which of the options hold the most promise to support greater gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in PEI's political system?

The "Preference for Equality" workshop will be an interactive, participatory analysis of the possible effects of the five electoral options. The event will take place Tuesday, September 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Cathedral Hall (corner of Rochford and Fitzroy Streets), Charlottetown.

Workshop is open to all ~ No cost.  To register, please call 902-368-4510 or email info@peistatusofwomen.ca.
