We write with exciting news. Thanks to the grant from the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) as well as your generous donations at our May 4th fundraiser, we are well on our way to changing the way breast cancer patients make decisions around treatment options.

We have been very busy this summer. We hired a Project Coordinator and brought a few more volunteer experts on board. Please read about these lovely people below.

The big news is that on October 13th we are soft-launching the Decision Tree - our innovative approach to navigating choices around breast cancer care. This means that we're making the Tree publicly available. While we haven't made all of the changes we have planned, we know that cancer patients need this information now, not tomorrow. We hope that with access to this information, we will also be able to harness their feedback to guide future improvements to the Tree.

INTRODUCING...

Azura Fennell
Project Coordinator

Azura's role at BTC is to support the leadership team in meeting deadlines and coordinating our projects on the go. Azura works in the Research Unit of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as an Administrative Coordinator. She is also the owner and chef of The Kneaded Kitchen, a gourmet vegetarian and vegan meal delivery service in Ottawa. Her busy schedule is balanced with outdoor activities, creative projects, and most importantly, being a mother!

Caitlyn King
Director of Finance

We are delighted to have someone on board who likes numbers! Caitlin has stepped into the Director of Finance role at BTC. She holds CPA,CA and CIA designations and works as a Senior Consultant at KPMG based in Ottawa. She is a graduate of the Queen's School of Business. In her spare time, Caitlin loves to run, swim, and spend time in the sun.

Ehud Neuhaus
Software Designer

Ehud lives in Amsterdam and has been working with BTC for over a year. He is a self-taught web designer and developer, with his first website built somewhere in the year 2000. He focuses on keeping things as simple as possible, building websites that are easy to use and maintain. He also teaches yoga, illustrates, and loves to go out with his camera(s) whenever possible.
