Speakers and content are really the backbone of any conference. These are the primary things that keep attendees happy and make a conference a success. Attendees not only get opportunities to listen to speakers live; they also get to interact with other attendees and speakers in the hallways for post-session discussions.
Devoxx, after extremely successful runs in Belgium, Paris, London, Morocco and Poland, is now coming to the US. I'm particularly excited because the inaugural event is in San Jose, my home city!
A complete set of tracks can be seen here. I've been involved pretty heavily in Server Side. However, more recently I've been active in the Cloud, Containers & Infrastructure, and BigData tracks. Containers is where innovation is happening very rapidly these days.
Here are some of the topics that I would love to see/hear at Devoxx US:
• Design patterns and anti-patterns of containers;
• Microservice deployments using containers;
• Mix/match classical infrastructure, tools and scripts with containers;
• Deployment pipelines using different CI/CD tools, with an emphasis on containers;
• Why you picked a certain container orchestration framework?
• Are you running containers on-prem, in the cloud, or hybrid?
• What features are you building?
• Do you care about OCI and other standardization efforts?
• Security.
A talk from a customer or a real user always adds much more credibility to the submission.
