Meet the Fairchild Family!
Mother and father, Linsey and Geoff, Lucie, Special Olympics GB athlete Harry and Doug. Harry is 25 years old from Brighton, East Sussex and will be competing at Table Tennis in Sheffield at his first National Summer Games next year.

Harry's busy life is explained by his mother Linsey who expresses Harry as a "force of nature with an incredible passion for sport and every element of table tennis - playing and coaching."

Special Olympics GB is the country’s largest provider of year-round sports training and competition for people of all ages with intellectual disabilities. If you would like to know more about what we do, where we operate and how you can continue to be involved, please visit our website.
Accreditation and Tickets

As a registered family member or supporter, you will be issued with an accreditation pass which is your ticket to the Games for the week. You will be able to pick up the passes for all of your Family members from our Families Village at Tudor Square in Sheffield City Centre – more details will follow in the next edition.

In future newsletters, we will provide you with further information in addition to sending you an information pack ahead of your arrival, so you will be well-equipped to enjoy the Games in all their star-studded glory. For now, we suggest you visit regularly the dedicated Families page on the Games website.
Accommodation

First Five Venues Announced!

We would like to announce that the first five venues have been confirmed.
They are:
  • Ponds Forge International Sports Centre: Boccia & Aquatics
  • Sheffield Hallam University City Athletics Centre: Athletics
  • Parklands Equestrian Centre: Equestrian
  • Doncaster Indoor Bowls Centre: Bowls (Indoor)
  • Sheffield Hallum Football Centre: Football
