The Georgetown Icons Book Sale
The College Academic Council in partnership with the College Dean's Office is selling copies of the Georgetown Icons books to parents and families. These high-quality books contain quotes and images of Georgetown not found anywhere else, and would make excellent gifts or keepsakes for Georgetown students, alumni, and parents. Finding your student is short on time? Dreading they'll come home mid-semester with a suitcase full of dirty clothes? Wash Cycle Laundry has come to the rescue with a reliable, regular laundry delivery plan!

Academic Resource Center
The Academic Resource Center (ARC) works with students with disabilities to ensure access to programs and facilities at Georgetown. They provide academic support for students through study skills workshops, individual consultations and tutoring. Specialized academic support and advising is provided to student athletes through ARC.
This fall, OGE has already held several events to welcome first-year students interested in studying abroad during their time at Georgetown. We presented to students at the Inter Pre-Orientation Resource Roulette, welcomed over 500 students and parents to our office for the NSO Open House, and we held our annual Study Abroad Fair in early September!
If you and your student were not able to attend these events, not to worry; although we like to say “it's never too early to start planning for study abroad", it's certainly not too late! We encourage your student to familiarize themselves with the wide range of programs available to GU students by visiting our website's "Explore Programs" section or by attending one of our regularly offered Study Abroad 101 sessions. At these sessions, our staff orient students to the study abroad application process and answer student questions regarding specific programs, financing, as well as health and safety abroad.
We also highly encourage first-years to meet with one of the OGE Peer Advisors--as this is a great opportunity to hear from fellow students who have experience navigating the study abroad process and are able to share how studying abroad aligned with their academic and career goals.

Outdoor Education Trips
Through wilderness based endeavors, Georgetown University Outdoor Education seeks to teach, to inspire, and guide students, creating a community where learning, personal challenge, reflection, and increased compassion for others and the environment are fostered and upheld as core values.
GWOW welcomes and transitions new and returning students to the Hilltop during the first six weeks of the academic year. Students are able to engage with Georgetown’s diverse student body and faculty through activities, programs and events that support their academic and personal development.
