Welcome back to another NYC Fall season, certainly one of Johnny's most jam-packed. As he heads out to Fire Island and Daniel Nardicio's Ice Palace extravaganza for his last time this season, Summer officially ends. It's been a great one, filled with gigs on boats (Wigstock The Cruise), tents (Speigeltent at Bard) and backyards (The Brown Party 2016) as well as clubs large and small. Thanks to all the producers, hosts and partiers - now it's on to The New!
MILAN FASHION WEEK
MAX MARA SPRING/SUMMER 2017
Johnny is off to Milan on Monday to continue his musical collaboration with the luxury fashion house MAX MARA - he created the soundtrack for their SPRING SUMMER 2017 fashion show on 9/22 and will be there to add special live touches. This Summer he was named Musical Director for Max Mara World and now oversees the music for their 2,300 stores in over 100 countries as well as their most ambitious special events.

amFAR MILANO 2016
Two days later Johnny spins for amFAR MILANO 2016 for the third year in a row. This MILAN FASHION WEEK gala benefiting amFAR unfolds on 9/24 at the stunning LA PERMANENTE. This eighth annual edition should be spectacular - The Italian fashion community has long been exemplary in its support of amfAR, and to date, this glamorous event has raised more than $10 million for their lifesaving research. Like all amfAR events, the gala will draw an exciting and diverse range of distinguished guests, including many of the personalities and designers associated with Milan Fashion Week. Johnny is very excited to spin with his friend and fellow DJ Legend DIMITRI FROM PARIS for this unforgettable evening, produced by the renowned ANDY BOOSE and his AAB PRODUCTIONS.

FAREWELL TO FIRE ISLAND: JOHNNYS LAST 2016 DWORLD
UNDERWEAR PARTY AT THE ICE PALACE
Daddy of Indie Gay Nightlife DANIEL NARDICIO has been producing his DWORLD UNDERWEAR PARTY for more than a decade in NYC, and brought it successfully to Fire Island some years ago. The weekly, held at the legendary ICE PALACE, hosted between 500-1000 visitors each Friday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The event continues through September on Saturdays: Johnny played for last weekend's edition as well as the epic SPARTACUS event at the enchanted Belvedere Hotel. This Saturday he bids farewell at the end of a great season, but will continue his DJ reign at Daniel's upcoming "COCKTOBERFEST" at SLAKE NYC (info below).

Johnny appears throughout TIM LAWRENCE's new opus LIFE AND DEATH ON THE NEW YORK DANCE FLOOR, along with many of his friends and contemporaries including IVAN BAKER, BRUCE FOREST, JIM FOURATT, MICHAEL HOLMAN, DANY JOHNSON, DANNY KRIVIT, ANN MAGNUSON, DAVID MANCUSO, RUDOLF PIEPER, SALVATORE PRINCIPATO, JOHN ROBIE, JUSTIN STRAUSS, (wife) CHI CHI VALENTI, SHARON WHITE, MICHAEL ZILKHA and many more. If you read Tim's seminal book on Seventies DJ culture LOVE SAVES THE DAY, you know that he is a tireless researcher and astute commentator on scenes and movements within music and dance/club culture.
To coincide with the book's launch, there are panels, screenings, signings, art shows and even a day-long symposium in NYC in October. Johnny will appear at two of them, on a panel 10/8 as part of the symposium at NYU/TISCH, and another at the MOMA book/film event on 10/13.
