Our school year is off to a terrific start. First day jitters and tears have given way to smiles, and giggles, and excited questions about “what are we doing at school today?” We even had our first fire drill last week. Fire drills can be loud and confusing, but the children handled it very well. Check out the “Safety Zone” section this month to learn more about the safety drills we have during the year and how this keeps our school safe.

Last week, my daughter ended up in time out (about thirteen minutes after she woke up, I might add). When I went to get her out of purgatory, I asked why she had been punished and what she needed to say to me. She plainly stated, “I am in time out

There is debate brewing in our country about what young children need to be successful academically. In the process, play and academics are being pitted against one another giving parents the impression that they cannot co-exist.

Our health and safety standards from Christian Schools of Florida require us to conduct monthly fire drills, an annual weather drill and four lock-down drills per school year?
We conduct these emergency drills in partnership with The Christ School and under the supervision of our campus security and facilities teams.
