Boy Scout Fishing Report
Each Christmas ATI employees select five non-profit organizations that will receive a matching company donation. The Boy Scouts of America is one of the organizations consistently chosen. The IT provider for ATI's son is a Boy Scout and went to the BSA Florida National High Adventure Sea Base this summer. He and six other scouts from his Katy, Texas, troop fished and snorkeled for five days out of Summerland Key, just east of Key West.
ATI is proud to support the Boy Scouts of America.
Jack's fishing report:
"We caught mostly Schoolmaster and Mangrove Snapper. We would go out about six miles from the coast and fish near the reefs. Using a block of chum to bring fish to the boat made it so that you would get a bite within two minutes. Occasionally a Barracuda would scare away the fish near the boat. Multiple times we had a Barracuda bite a fish in half that was being reeled in. Your fish would be fighting on your line when all of a sudden you would see splashes, then the struggle stopped. We used spin-cast rods with 12-20 pound line with cut up squid and ballyhoo for bait."
