We really do love you! Thank you for taking the time each week to read this! It really means the world!

Trending... Numeric Names!

Although numeric baby names have been around, recently they've really started to take off! Names like UNA, which comes from the Latin word meaning one, to names like TRIP/TRIPP or TRACE (TRACE is the french word for three) which comes from triple, and is traditionally associated with the son of a junior. Although the names TRIPP and TRACE originated as nicknames, they now stand on their own as independent names (we happen to personally know a handsome little cutie named TRIPP, and we think it's a brilliant name!).

And, how can we forget Seinfeld's George Costanza when he said he would name his child SEVEN after Mickey Mantle's infamous number. Other celebrities have gone on to actually name their children SEVEN, like David and Victoria Beckham who named their daughter Harper Seven.

Stranger Things (we're obsessed with this show!) introduced the name ELEVEN as a supernatural young girl (who they later call Elle). Although this isn't meant to be a given name, it sure is cool!
Other numeric names like DEX, which refers to a factor of ten, and CLOVER, after the lucky four leafer, are beginning to take off too. And, we have to mention names like DRU from quadDRUple, IVY from the Roman numeral IV, and CINCO (spanish for five). Singer Usher's son, named Usher V, answers to the name CINCO.

These are just a few numeric names worth mentioning even though there are many more -- and we really love them all! But, what do you think? Let us know!

Name of the week!

ETHAN! Now in 6th place in the United States, and in the top 15 in England, Wales and Scotland, this mega-popular name has gotten a major boost from Tom Cruise's character in Mission Impossible. In history, ETHAN is the namesake of Revolutionary War hero, Ethan Allen, and in literature, the well-known Ethan Frome. There are also several ETHAN's in the Old Testament, and in Hebrew ETHAN means "solid; enduring". That must be why we never met an ETHAN we didn't like :-)

On the personal side...

Back-to-School has finally come (no matter how hard I fought it, lol). Our Harrison headed off to Sophomore year, and Rose is beginning the 8th grade. What happened to my babies?! Send us your back-to-school pics -- we'd love to see them!
