September 2016 Newsletter

At last the back surgery is behind me (no pun intended) and I am recovering well. I have to vary the periods of sitting, standing and walking throughout the day. Last Sunday I lazed most of the day and paid the price next day in stiffness.

If you read my regular newsletters, you will know that I have relocated my Lancaster practice from Jo & Cass in Lancaster to The Channings on Lancaster Road, Forton, opposite Oakfield Nursing Home. It is in a purpose-built very large wooden cabin with all the treatment facilities you have come to expect. You may have seen pictures in previous newsletters, along with travel directions from Lancaster/Morecambe.

Below is more information about the location of my practice and local area which I hope you will find helpful.

The Channings and Local Area

Things change all the time, so what had been Basil’s Café Bar is no longer there. The Pennine Garage has now changed hands and trades as D.C.W. motors. As far as landmarks go, this garage is still on the right. Look out for School Lane on the right just after the garage, and then the yellow speed camera, which is when you signal left, slow down and look for the traffic mirror at the bottom of our drive, ready for turning in. There is free parking available. If you are accompanied, there is a pleasant waiting area for your companion.

Please note, from week beginning 3rd October I am at Knott End Podiatry Clinic on Mondays and Thursdays so Channings appointments will be on Tuesdays and Fridays. Other days/times by special arrangement only.
