SUMMER LEARNING BOOK SWAP
Book reports and reviews have been turned in to students' English teachers! So what do you do with those books which your child is unlikely to reread?

DONATE THEM  to LTS' first Summer Learning Book Swap!

Place your books in the SL Box in the Front Entry before September 24. BE SURE to attach a sticky note with your child's name on it so that we can credit you for sharing. NEXT SPRING as students are selecting their reading for summer 2017 you will be able to peruse the donated books to see if there is a book or two which your child would like to read over the summer! SCHOOL STORE/LUNCH
STUDENT CHARGE ACCOUNTS

To open a charge account for your child, simply drop off cash or a check at the front desk, at the School Store during breaks and lunch, or mail it to the Business Office. We recommend a starting balance of at least $50 per student to open an account, but you are welcome to send in as much as you'd like.

If you have questions, please e-mail Tanya Gabriele in the Business Office.

SAVE THE DATE---DORSET BLOOD DRIVE!
On Fri., Nov. 11 from noon to 5 pm, the American Red Cross will be taking blood donations at Long Trail School. Help the Red Cross fulfill its mission of ensuring the availability of a safe and reliable blood supply in our area. LTS students and United Church of Dorset & East Rupert members will assist you in registering and in partaking of the homemade refreshments which await you following your donation. Each pint collected can assist up to three patients in need. Pre-registration is critical so that ARC sends a sufficient number of staff to assist donations in a timely fashion. While walk-in donors may be accepted, sign up is preferable;  for an appointment, click the red button below or call
 1-800-RED CROSS.
