It's hard to believe, but summer is over. Students are back to school in many places and our staff's work to strategize new programs and services in orphanages and communities is intensifying.
We are thrilled to announce Jodel Pierre as our new Country Representative for Haiti. Jodel has over 10 years of experience working with multiple organizations in Haiti, including The Salvation Army, Americares, and The Cross Foundation, to name a few. He has outstanding experience working on the critical child-related issues that are the foundation of HRI's work in Haiti, including nutrition, child protection, sanitation, training, psycho-social support and much more. We look forward to growing our work and services in Haiti with Jodel's leadership and expertise on the ground. Welcome, Jodel!

So far this year, our staff in Guatemala has implemented more than 90 workshops and trainings with hundreds of participants across 6 communities. These trainings are building the knowledge, confidence and empowerment of women, adolescent-girls, local community leaders, and mothers' participating in our school feeding programs. We are so proud of this important work that our Guatemala team is accomplishing with the communities!
