Wow! What a crazy few months it's been for us. Since our last newsletter dropped into your inboxes in June it's been non-stop here at Property Hive HQ; including 16 new releases, 5 new add ons (including 3 free ones), and sponsoring WordPress conferences.
There's too much to fit into a single newsletter so we've included our highlights below. Don't forget you can always catch up on what's going on by viewing our blog and following us on Twitter.

16 Property Hive Releases
|
We're averaging about 1.2 releases per week of the core plugin. This is excluding all the new and updated add ons that are happening alongside this. We're so pleased to be able to make updates so frequently to bring you the latest improvements, fixes and new features.
Some of the largest features included in these recent updates include:
Overseas - Improved support for international agents and properties
Students - You can now record prices as PPPW (Per Person Per Week). This marks the beginning of better support for student accommodation.
Our most requested feature - We've made it dead-easy to display a map on the property details page now with one line of code.
For the developers - Lots of improvements to the search form functionality and the way you pull information into templates.
For the tech-savvy amongst you, our full changelog can be viewed here.

Property Hive In Action
|
With our heads down all day in code, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing estate agents and web developers choosing to use Property Hive to power their WordPress sites. We've included below just a few of these sites as examples of what's been achieved using our plugin.

CANTELL & CO
Richmond based Cantell & Co's new website was launched in August. It's modern design and feature-rich property pages really show off what's possible.
|
|
INDEPENDENT LONDON
Independent London not only uses Property Hive to power it's property pages. It also takes advantage of the import add on to automatically sync their property stock with Expert Agent.

JAMES DOUGLAS
Released just a few days ago, this site really pushed us in terms of features. It uses four add ons, and is also the first time Property Hive has been used to display a map and a list simultaneously on the search results.

Something Big Is Coming
|
We're really happy with how Property Hive manages properties and don't foresee the need for any major updates in this area yet. However, the area we are getting lots and lots of requests about is applicants so we're working on something big for this.
We already allow you to match suitable properties to applicants but you can't do anything with that currently. In the near future we're going to allow you to start sending property alert emails from WordPress to applicants. You'll be able to preview the email before it goes, you can set these up to send automatically, we'll track which applicant has received which properties, and allow you to mark properties as 'Not interested' so they don't come up in matches again.
Once the above is complete, we'll then look at adding functionality so applicants can login and register themselves and their requirements, save properties to a shortlist, save searches and more.
