Preamble...
I had no idea... So many of you have asked where my newsletter has gone or when the next video will be up and every time I'm left speechless because I had no idea it was that noticeable! I knew when I started all of this that it would be a challenge to keep it all going. My efforts are meant to bring design to your world and inspire you to look at the role design plays in your life. And yes... maybe remind you to give me a call for that home makeover. I'm so pleased that you all enjoy my work (in whatever fashion). After a very busy summer and fall, I'm here with one more newsletter and sending you all a very special THANK YOU for all your support and encouragement.

What we're loving this month...
Giant Paper Snowflakes

There's nothing that takes me straight back to my childhood quite like making paper snowflakes! The magic of folding and cutting and then opening up a little bit of magic to reveal a lovely paper snowflake is sheer joy to me. I love them so much I think they should be SUPERSIZED! Why not hang them in your front window or stick them on the wall and create your own snowflake storm wallpaper! And if you're having trouble making them, Martha is here to help!
Intense Colour and Pattern

On a recent trip to Amsterdam, I stumbled upon a great little boutique shop with loads of colourful pillows and throws. So I couldn't help share this talented designer's work. Mariska Meijers creates fabrics, wallpapers, and trays with bold pattern and vibrant colour based on her very own paintings. Her patterns are amazing and so inspiring!
Festive Playlists Galore

Until there's snow on the ground, it's hard to get into the spirit of the holidays...Not sure how those Californians do it! But alas... snow or no snow, the one other best way to get into the holiday mood is with music and we're loving Spotify! It's one of several internet music streaming services out there and the best part... you can get a free version which is still amazing! The festive playlists will have you dreaming of the white stuff in no time!
Leaning Art Wall

I can't tell you how much I love this idea! See those display rails or shelves? They can be purchased from IKEA! AND THEN... paint them out the same colour as the wall and they become the backdrop for an amazing array of leaning art. Great for displaying books or album covers or framed art or photography... or all of it all at once! Just try to keep an overall colour scheme in mind. Change it up as often as you like, even seasonally... A great place to display all your holiday cards right now! 
What we're working on...
Not only do we show up with samples... we draw and colour our design concepts! Our clients love the creativity involved and we love the "approvals to proceed".
