Call for Lightning Talks
Know about an NLP problem that's not yet solved? The upcoming Text XD Symposium on October 6th is calling for lightning talks (around 7 minutes each) that highlight difficult NLP problems. The ideal lightning talk would describe the problem at a high-level, offer an end-to-end example of the problem (hypothetical or toy examples are okay), explain how its solution could benefit other projects beyond your example, describe (if possible) any known failed or partial attempts at a solution, and make a guess at a path forward. If interested, please send a 1-2 page abstract outlining these 5 elements to nickbadams@berkeley.edu and/or lknelson3@berkeley.edu.
If you're interested in attending in general, RSVP to claim your free lunch, here: https://goo.gl/forms/dILr4URP3GPUDUNY2
