We are one month closer to the commencement ceremonies, and the e-newsletter is here to ensure you are up-to-date on important commencement-related deadlines and news.

It’s very important that you review all information contained within this and future e-newsletters, as they are our primary way of communicating the crucial details you’ll need for a smooth graduation experience.

If you know other students who may be eligible to graduate but aren’t receiving this e-newsletter, please encourage them to subscribe by contacting us.

Filing for Graduation

If you are completing your degree requirements for graduation in fall 2016, note that the September 15, 2016 filing deadline has passed. If you missed this deadline, please file for the next available graduation date before the February 15, 2017 deadline. After you have filed, inform the Office of the Registrar so that your request can be researched.

If you will complete your degree requirements in the spring 2017 semester (June 1, 2017 graduation date), you must file for graduation by February 15, 2017.

If you will complete your degree requirements in the summer 2017 semesters (September 1, 2017 graduation date), you must file for graduation by May 15, 2017.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students who file for graduation after February 15, 2017 may not have their names listed in the 2017 Commencement Program.

Commemorate Your Big Moment With a Graduation Photo!

What is commencement without a photograph of yourself celebrating the achievement? Graduation photos are a long-held tradition for academic institutions, and we’ll be partnering with a professional photographer to ensure you have the chance to join in on that legacy.

Best of all, your photo will appear in the 2017 edition of Broeklundian, the Brooklyn College Yearbook.

Information regarding graduation photo session dates and times, as well as information on how you can purchase copies of the yearbook, will appear in future editions of this e-newsletter.
