OK, so it's not New Moon for a while yet, but I couldn't wait to tell you that the new Moonwise Calendar and Diaries are now available.
The covers have a wonderful picture by Maggie Organ on the subject of refugees, and each page of the calendar has one of her inspiring illustrations on the problems we have on this planet, and positive solutions people are finding around the world.
As ever, each month starts with the new crescent moon, and the calendar has a useful map of the night sky, and notes for viewing the planets, and other events in the heavens.
The Moonwise Diary for Britain & Ireland is A5 size, and has a week per spread, with plenty of room to write. It has daily times of the rising and setting of the sun and moon in London, Cardiff, Glasgow and Dublin. There is also a version for Cornwall, with Cornish rising and setting times, Cornish festivals alongside the worldwide ones, and a smattering of the newly resurgent Cornish language.
The calendar is printed on FSC grade paper from sustainable sources, using vegetable oil based inks, and is fully recyclable and biodegradable. In order to cut waste, I have held back on the number I've had printed, so please make sure you don't miss out. The diaries are printed on demand, which allows me to order them as needed. I won't let these go out of print until well into next year.
