Meriam V. Choulagh | Associate Attorney

Meriam earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Wayne State University in 2012. She graduated cum laude from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship Award for Academic Excellence. 

 
How did you decide you wanted to become an attorney?
It sounds pretty cliché, but I have wanted to be an attorney ever since I can remember. My older brother is an attorney and his hard work and passion for the law validated my decision to go to law school.

What is an experience that shaped you as an attorneywhether personal or professional?
Interning at the Supreme Court of Michigan for Justice Zahra was
extremely memorable. Being able to take part in developing precedential law for the entire state of Michigan was pretty incredible.

What is it like working at Tishkoff?
I have already learned and developed my skills in my short time here. Everyone has been extremely helpful and I am excited to see what the future at Tishkoff holds for me.
Shana Haugh | Repectionist/Legal Assistant

Shana is originally from the Chicago suburbs. She earned her associate degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University, where she also participated in colorguard and was an active member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity.
What is a typical day like as a receptionist at Tishkoff?
So far, no two days have really been alike. I really enjoy working here! 
What is your background?
My background is mostly in customer service, with some recruiting and data entry.
