Just Some of the Upcoming Events Happening
at Your Library Locations 
October 1 @ 11:00 a.m.
Families are invited to attend this informative and hands-on program that will help them make sense of dyslexia. This program, held at the Main Library, includes sensory activities for children and a Q&A for adults. Presented by the Grand Traverse Dyslexia Association in cooperation with TADL.
Monday, October 3 to Friday, October 7: Visit TADL's Main Library to learn more about the Michigan Organ Donor Registry or to sign up with the Registry. It only takes a few minutes but the impact is for someone else's lifetime! 
October 2 @ 1:00 p.m.
Raymond Goodwin will present his one-man play about the wreck of a small boat on Lake Huron on a stormy November evening in 1927 and the lingering effects of the tragedy through the decades. McGuire Community Room, TADL Main Library.
 

 
October 6 @ 6:30 p.m.
Local author, Frank P. Slaughter will discuss his approach to writing historical fiction, inspirations and process. Frank's newest book, Brotherhood of Iron, is the second novel of the Castor family trilogy, and tells the story of four brothers as they strike out to find adventure in the rapidly changing world of the early 20th century. 

Under The Stairs, the gift shop operated by Friends of TADL at the Main Library on Woodmere Avenue, offers used books organized each month under a theme. Come stop by, browse, and get some excellent books at excellent prices!
