Another Fair in the Books
Nativity County Fair #42 may have been the best one yet, thanks be to God and to all our parishioners, neighbors, and friends. But the Fair is just the beginning of a great season of events and initiatives happening at Nativity, many of which are listed below.
Let's keep the momentum going!

Urban Catholic
In lieu of our monthly young adult event for September, we'll meet next Sunday (10/2) for Matt Birk's presentation. Confessions will be available before mass and we'll have a section reserved for the program. Contact the parish office to reserve a spot.

Saint Padre Pio
Tomorrow is the feast of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina (above left), a Franciscan priest whose heart is currently on display in Boston, the first time his relics have left Italy since his death in 1968.
St. Pio, pray for us, that we may imitate your unwavering faith and perseverance throughout whatever trials or suffering may come. Amen!

Sunday's Readings
In the Sunday's First Reading, God warns against comfortable complacency through his prophet Amos, for which St. Paul offers an antidote in the Second Reading. In St. Luke's Gospel, Jesus tells a powerful parable about the wages of such complacency.
