The pollinators are here! The pollinators are here! Yes, I mean the sculpture garden is alive with winged creatures doing their best to gather and redistribute pollen. An amazing number of monarch butterflies and a wide variety of other butterflies, moths and bees have taken quite a liking to the sculpture garden. More garden then sculpture at this point, but I have added a piece or two. It is in full bloom and I welcome anyone to drop by and meander through the field of bright yellow coreopsis, milkweed and goodness knows what else.
I have completed my cube sculpture for the 2nd Annual Chestertown RiverFest. Activities begin on Friday evening, September 23 from 5:30 to 8:00 at the end of Main Street along the Chester River waterfront. The RiverFest Illumination Unveiling is scheduled for 7:15pm. There will be live music with food and beverages available. The fun continues on Saturday, August 24 with many activities, including Washington College’s 10thAnnual Cardboard Boat Regatta.
As much as we would love to be there for the fun, we will once again be participating in the Armonk (NY) Outdoor Art Show. It is the 55th year for this fine art and fine craft show! Wow, what an achievement. We really enjoy this show and hope if you are in the area you will drop by to see us.
