Open Day Success

Hundreds attend the Tennyson Dunes Open Day

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Tennyson Dunes Open Day such a big hit.  Well over 200 people came to celebrate the group's 21st birthday, as well as the 1st birthday of the Tennyson Dunes Conservation Reserve.  The day included expert guided tours, coastal kids activities, a dunes market and the launch of our new plant book.  Much fun was had by all.

We want to extend a special thank you to the tour leaders who volunteered their time for us, including Chris Daniels, Victor Gostin, Murray Townsend, Karl Winda Telfer, Catherine McMahon, Peter Matejcic, Sarah Telfer and Tim Milne, as well as Lee Grigg and Animals Anonymous who ran the kids activities.  The West Lakes Kiwanis also held a fabulous BBQ, while the Port Adelaide Residents Environment Protection Group, the Adelaide Dolfin Sanctuary, Friends of Torrens Island, EPA and NRM Board all hosted excellent information stalls.

Lastly, the dedicated volunteers of the Tennyson Dunes Group who ran the day deserve huge congratulations.  Well done team.
