Shalom! My name is Sam Pollak, and I am excited to celebrate the High Holy Days with the Mizzou Hillel community. I am a fifth-year rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in my hometown, Cincinnati, Ohio, and I also serve as a rabbinic intern at my home congregation, Isaac M. Wise Temple. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2011 at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, where I studied philosophy and comparative religion. I also spent many summers at Goldman Union Camp Institute, the region's Reform overnight camp, where I have been a camper, counselor, songleader, and education director. I am currently engaged to my partner of four years, Ari, and we are planning a wedding for August, 2017. Outside school and work, I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, walking, and playing video games. I am looking forward to meeting you and experiencing the holidays at Mizzou. See you in the fall! -Sam
