Little People Can Make A Big Difference
 Prep have worked super hard over the last few days making posters and over 100 cupcakes to raise money for children's cancer project with Mrs Gorman and the Prep teachers in the big kids' kitchen. They were sold out within one hour! Prep School raised a total of $295.10 for this cause; $12 of which was given by one special Prep student Joanna who said, ‘I want to give all my money, cause I want cancer stopped and no one to ever get it’.

 You are invited to an interactive experience of the creative work of PCS students through design, art, multimedia, music and drama. This is a unique, walk around event that gives you the opportunity to view the amazing talents of our students across a broad range of mediums.

'Girls Rising' sponsorship
 FANTASTIC SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES:
Girls Rising is a unique, yearly, one-day event for Year 10 girls, established by Penrith Christian School in 2014. Students from both private and public schools in the local area are invited to attend. This year’s event is taking place on Tuesday 15 November 2016.
PCS is seeking sponsorship in the form of both financial contributions and in-kind support. Schools are charged a small fee which covers only a portion of the costs to stage this event - sponsorship allows us to continue to provide this valuable opportunity for girls in our community.
Girls Rising is a particularly appealing sponsorship opportunity for businesses who cater in some way for females and/or have empowerment of females as a core business value. It is an opportunity to mentor and support the next generation of women.

PCS ‘EP’ coming soon (original student songs)
 It is with great excitement that we wish to announce the PCS Music Department will be releasing an EP of original student works! The Extended Play product will feature students from Senior School and will be available for purchase during Term 4! In recent years, the Music Department has been receiving significant investment with the purpose of developing a culture of songwriting and celebrating students' creativity.

New Kindy Placements Available for 2017
Due to a large demand for places in Kindergarten 2017, and the fact that we have a full Year Group in Prep School this year feeding into Kindergarten, the PCS Board have decided to add a third class to our Kindergarten cohort next year.
We will be running three classes of 22 students. There are only a few vacancies available for Kindergarten 2017.
If you know anyone who is seeking a start in Kindergarten next year and would like to attend PCS, please direct them to contact Sharon Tuft on 4737 4300, or email sharon.tuft@pcs.nsw.edu.au to obtain a Prospectus and enrolment forms.

2017 Uniform Fittings
 As you may be aware, uniform stocks can be limited if you leave your purchases to the last minute before school returns in 2017.
Particularly, our Prep, Year 4 & Year 8 parents need to arrange uniform fittings as their children move into a new uniform (for Junior School, Middle School and Senior School respectively). Fittings must be completed by November otherwise uniform items may not be available for the commencement of school in 2017.

Canteen News
 Parents please be advised we will only have a limited supply of milk this week due to end of term. When ordering milk drinks this week for your child, please give two drink options (i.e. a choice of milk or juice – not two milk). For your information, along with our other gluten free products (Fried Rice, Potato Nuggets and Roast Chicken), we now have gluten free nuggets available 5 for $2.50.

 We value the wonderful work our parents helpers undertake around our school - we truly could not do without you all! Your involvement in the life of our school does not go unnoticed, and we acknowledge the many hours that are committed to PCS.
