SEMMMS Exhibition Update 28th September 2016 2pm - 8pm Large Hall

Carillion Morgan Sindall (CMS) is holding the next series of exhibitions in locations across the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road (A6MARR) scheme. The exhibitions will give you an opportunity to speak to the CMS team and find out more about the scheme and construction works.

MacMillan Coffee Morning Saturday 1st October 2016 10am -1pm Small Hall

WWMCC will be supporting the wonderful MacMillan Fund on Saturday 1st October by holding a coffee morning accompanied by just the odd cake or two! Do come along and lend your support to this worthy and vital cause.

The Sewing Sanctuary now has an additional timeslot 1pm - 3pm on Wednesdays during term time. This is the perfect opportunity for interruption free "me-time" for your sewing projects. Take your own sewing project and Sewing Sanctuary's teacher Kathryn Gurney will be there to help with the tricky bits.

Desperado - Eagles Tribute Band Evening

Desperado, the brilliant Eagles tribute band will be at Woodford Community Centre on Friday 7th October 2016. A two hour plus show which authentically recreates your favourite Eagles songs that changed the world of popular music forever with their infamous brand of Southern Californian Sunshine Rock, with a focus on great songs from ‘Long Road Out of Eden’ and ‘Hell Freezes Over’

On Thursday 13th October, Transform Personal training will be hosting their annual Charity Fashion show at Woodford Community Centre from 7pm Onwards. All funds raised will benefit 1000 Hearts for Harry (affiliated with Cardiac Risk in the Young) to purchase defibrillators to be placed throughout our community. KEMS Concert Band Sunday 16th Ocober 2016

The lovely KEMS concert band will be back on Woodford's shores again on Sunday 16th October in the large hall 1pm - 5pm. This is a fabulous event not to be missed. Tickets are available from Richard on 01477 533 764 www.kems.org.uk

Woodford War Memorial Community Centre's AGM Monday 17th October 2016

WWMCC's AGM will now be be at 7.30pm in the small hall on Monday 17th October. Please join us for a complimentary glass of wine and nibbles and find out what has been and is going on at your local Community Centre.

Early Winter Dates

November 5th will be, as usual, our Bonfire Night celebrations. Preparations have already begun and if you fancy the fun of helping out on the night we'd be delighted to hear from you. Bonfire night is WWMCC's main fund-raiser so it's a vital part of our calendar, it's a terrific community event and the more locals we have to muck in - the merrier!
