Visual Arts Fellowship - due 8 October, apply HERE

The Visual Arts Fellowship supported by Copyright Agency's Cultural Fund and administered by NAVA, aims to assist exceptional mid-career Australian visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners to undertake a self directed program of professional development. Two $20,000 fellowships are open to individual mid-career artists and groups. 
 

NSW Artists' Grant - due 22 October, apply HERE

This NAVA grant is available to assist professional visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners residing in NSW to produce, present and promote their work. Artists residing in regional NSW and Western Sydney are encouraged to apply.
 

Australian Artists' Grant - due 12 November, apply HERE

This NAVA grant is available to assist professional visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners who are Australian citizens or permanent residents to produce, present and promote their work.

The Queensland Government through Arts Queensland has increased organisational funding to $30.5 million over four years. Meanwhile, discussions are going on in the NSW arts industry about the implications of a mooted merger between Arts NSW and Screen NSWMore here.

In Galleries
The Canberra Times has reported that about 20 staff at the National Gallery of Australia have been told their jobs are being terminated, an estimated 8% of its workforce. More Here.
