- Scope Creep: How Do You Recognize it, How Do You Deal with It? Your client asks you to add an additional job to your contract after the contract is signed. Is this scope creep? How can you be sure and how can you politely but firmly manage the additional work and make sure you still get paid for it. At the recent CanSPEP Business Summit, Tuesday Johnson MacDonald presented a succinct and valuable summary of the phenomenon. You can find her presentation in the members' resource section of the CanSPEP website.
- How Much Do Independent Planners Charge? A recent survey of independent planners in the US reveals some interesting facts about pricing trends among this event industry group. A summary of the Event Leadership Institute findings is presented in the August issue of Successful Meetings and you can get a preview of the report from the ELI website.
